About Tarah

I am a motivated and passionate life-long learner. My goal is to motivate other people and to become life learners themselves through the use of technology. The innovations that we have witnessed in the last decade have made it easier than ever to learn anything if not everything. From MOOCs to social media, instructional technology can open up windows and doors for students unlike any other time in history and all we need to do it reach out and grab it.

I hold a Master’s degree in Instructional technology and I am trained in the A.D.D.I.E methodology of instructional design. I am excited by the possibilities that e-learning offers and I’m delighted by mobile learning initiatives.

In my current position as an Technology Integrationist I am leading the roll out of a 1:1 initiative using Chromebooks, introducing my faculty, staff and students to Google Apps for Education and integrating instructional technology methodologies across the curriculum from grades K-8.

My goals for the next 3 years include becoming a Google Certified Teacher, proficiency in Adobe Captivate and continuing to grow my personal learning network.
